Gene Moutoux's Poetry

Extremes

Demure,

Acquiescent,

Unstintingly giving,

She,

Dismissing reports of his caviling,

Trusting her romantic clairvoyance,

Loves.

Her erstwhile lover anathema now,

His many betrayals disclosed,

She,

Her tortured mind beclouded,

Compunction destroyed,

With bestial intensity,

Hates.
